Influenza and Pneumonia

After a wonderful weekend, I started feeling a little under the weather. I went in to see my doctor Tuesday, April 13 and I was diagnosed as having the flu. I was told to drink lots of fluids, rest and if I didn't start feeling better by Friday, I should come back in to be check. Well, I didn't feel better, in fact I started coughing and continued to wake up sweaty with chills. I went back to the doctor on Friday and was diagnosed with pneumonia. I was given a prescription for antibiotics and told to drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest. I was told that if I started feeling worse I would have to go to the ER. Luckily, I have felt the same or better ever since I started the antibiotics. I am still coughing and I feel tired and weak, but I no longer have a fever. I think I am on the road to recovery.

Hiccups

While driving home from work on Wednesday, I thought I felt our little Zuki having the hiccups. They didn't last very long, but I was excited. I was woken up this morning to more Zuki hiccups. They were definitely hiccups. Roxanne got out the baby listening gear and we heard the hiccups clearly. We were also able to hear her heartbeat; in the past we couldn't hear Zuki's heartbeat very well, but today it was very strong and clear. Zuki continued to have the hiccups a few time throughout the day.

School Fundraiser

Roxanne and I attended the DCS Montessori Annual Fundraiser at the Wildlife Experience. We had a wonderful time. I donated my services as a babysitter and for an afternoon at a local bookstore with a student.
Here is a picture of Rox and me all dressed up for the event. My sister, Vic, did my hair for me and I bought a new maternity dress for the evening.
