Dr. Jeff's Graduation

Jeff Silva, the son of my godparents, received his PhD today and we all went over to celebrate with him.

Visiting Vik and the Kids

Since it is Spring Break this week, we decided to go to Aunty Viki's house and visit with her and the kids. Here are the cousins playing with the computer together.

President's Day

As it was President's Day, I did not have to go to work and so Addy and I spent the day hanging out with friends and family. We picked up Amaya and went to the Museum of Nature and Science with Aunty Cole.

I think Aunty Cole really likes wearing Addy and being close to her.

After the museum, we went back to Aunty Vik's house to bring Amaya home. Here is Addy and Aunty Vik loving each other.

Christmas Morning

When we woke up in the morning, Santa had come to our house. There was a train set up around the Christmas tree and everyone was so excited to see all of the presents.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

On Christmas eve, we all got into our red footy pajamas and sat together on the living room couch to read the Christmas Eve book. Then Amaya and Kanoa got some treats together to leave out for Santa while I put Adelaide to bed.

Family Dinner

This evening we had a full house for dinner. Roxanne's brother and sisters came over, as well as two of my sisters, a niece and a nephew. We also had one of Roxanne's coworkers stop by with his new girlfriend. We had a wonderful meal of assorted lasagnas, fresh bread, garlic bread and salad.

After dinner, we looked through Jacques and Teresa' wedding album before playing a game of Scattergories. The pictures were beautiful and the album was amazing. Here TJ and I are looking through the album.

After Jacques, Teresa, and Sara left, it was time for Addy to get into her pajamas and ready for bed.

After a long day with lots of visitors, Adelaide fell asleep.

Visiting Aunty Claire

Roxanne and I took Adelaide to meet my god-mother, Aunty Claire, and her husband Dick. Kay-Kay had flown in the night before and stayed with Vik, so they met up with us as well. We had a lovely times hanging out, catching up with each other and visiting.

Here is Aunty Claire feeding Adelaide after we went out to lunch with everyone, even Jeff. I hadn't seen Jeff since I was a kid, it was really good to see him again. I should have gotten a picture of him, but I didn't think to do it at the time. Hopefully we will be visiting them again soon.

Adoption Day

After months of waiting for background checks and hours of interviews, Roxanne was finally allowed to adopt our daughter. We used a lawyer from Boulder, CO, so when it was time to appear in court for the final decree, we went to Boulder. We arrived at the courthouse early, as we didn't want to miss anything.

Our hearing was held in Courtroom F.

Adelaide was hungry, so she finished her bottle before we went into the courtroom.

Papa Scott and Grandma Sandy came to court with us. Here they are in the court room as we waited for the magistrate to arrive.

After the hearing, when everything was finished and official, we took a picture with the magistrate.

After court, we came back to our house and invited our loved ones to celebrate with us. We had a pasta bar and lots of cake. Here is a picture of Addy playing with a Mountain Dew bottle, which she did for about a half an hour.

Rehearsal

On Friday night, we had a rehearsal for the wedding. We got the timing and placement of people down so that we would all know what we were doing.

The big girls, Amaya and Lexi, were happy to be hanging out with each other. They are going to be responsible for documenting the wedding by taking pictures and videos.

The little guys, Jaden and Kanoa, are going to be in the ceremony. They will both bring up the rings in the Koa wood bowl.

Rox's job is to take care of Addy. Here is Rox feeing Addy, meeting more family members.

I just love this party dress and I'm so glad that Addy had an event to wear this dress to.

Vegas 1

Grandpa Jim arrived the day after we got to Vegas and finally got to hold his newest granddaughter. He left Denver the day before Addy was born, so he just missed meeting her.
